About Laughter Works
Cris Popp, Founder and Director
One day, while reading an article about the benefits of laughter (which are many including good health, better pay and being more attractive), Cris thought, “Oh my God, that’s why my life is like it is – I don’t know how to laugh!” (that is a little tongue-in-cheek … but you get the idea).
He rushed out and joined a laughter club, and it was so good that he decided to become a laughter leader. Not only did he feel less stressed, and able to concentrate better, but his focus, optimism and health improved. And the things didn’t change? Well he lightened up, laughed a lot more, and they just didn’t bother him as much.
He realised this was the antidote, for today’s busy, overworked, overwhelmed office workers – and perfect for conferences.
He decided to combine his experience in corporate leadership development (with Melbourne Business School and the Australian Institute of Management), with his skill as a facilitator and keynote speaker to bring laughter to workplaces and conferences throughout Australia.
He trained with the founder of the world laughter movement, Dr Madan Kataria, and established Laughter Works – Australia’s number one corporate laughter leaders. Cris now injects energy and zest, helps improve productivity and performances at conferences and workplaces throughout Australasia.
